About Myanmar’s Industry Zones

There are 40 official Industrial Zones in Myanmar, and there are 27 (42) zones within the former capital city, Yangon. The government is trying their best to invite foreign companies to set up manufacturing industries, however there are individual rules and regulations in each zones with different offices. Even though there is a ministry overpowering the offices, the terms and regulations are very fuzzy and knowing all of them are rather impossible even for local Myanmar companies.
There are also places and areas that you can set up factory such as warehouse areas, but it is hard for foreign companies to find out and negotiate by themselves.
When you look for a place for your own factory, it is a wiser choice to let the professionals to handle the cases. We can help you with it even with our partners such as lawyers. If you have any problems or questions, please feel free to contact us. We can take calls in Burmese, English, and Japanese.
